Voice biometrics has shown considerable effectiveness in diverse access control scenarios and also has the potential to protect against fraud (spoofing). Voice biometrics offers a potentially more reliable and convenient means of identity verification than that provided by PINs, passwords, tokens and/or other authentication means used on the Internet.
Voice biometrics is inherently more efficient and convenient than alternative authentication methods that require users to remember or keep something that can be forgotten, misplaced, shared, stolen or otherwise compromised. OCTAVE exploits the advantages of voice biometrics, and in addition provides strong protection from malicious attacks, through the use of advanced security provisions.
